I’ve recently found myself reflecting on one of my favorite songs: The Greatest Love of All by the legendary Whitney Houston.
You see, last week, I had this incredible opportunity to do a Human Design reading with a truly enlightened 17-year old.
He is an author.
And, he truly blew my mind …
I was taken aback a little, as he had quite a deep level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and awareness (at the age of 17, mind you) around who he was, how he was wired, and the overall direction he’s headed.
Do I need to remind you that he is only 17!
This extraordinary experience was the result of an introduction from his parents, who also have done deep Human Design work with me.
In case you are unfamiliar with what Human Design is … it’s a powerful tool that helps you uncover your unique wiring and coding.
It’s an energetic blueprint or operating plan of YOU.
And, it’s powerful … no matter what your age is. And, this interaction was a prime example of that.
Our conversation was powerful, magnetic, and highly expansive.
It was soul-filling to say the least.
And, I found my heart crack wide open as a profound sense of hope and wonder filled me up.
This encounter served as a poignant reminder of the shift in consciousness and leadership beginning to shift and emerge in the world.
While it’s easy to focus on what feels dark, heavy, and dense at times around us (I can get caught up in this myself at times), I’m also reminded of the new, positive forces brewing beneath the surface and being birthed.
It’s in moments like these that I find I’m drawn back to Whitney’s song.
When she sang: “I believe the children are the future” in the opening line of her iconic song … I believed her.
I believed it back in 1986 when those words first poured over my soul.
And, I believe it even more now.
The children ARE our future!
If you don’t remember that song (or, gasp … never heard it), I encourage you to go back and take a listen.
To really listen. And, let these words wash over you:
… I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
Because we need to remember. We need to come home to ourselves.
We need to let the children’s laughter (and understanding) crack us wide open to remind us how we used to be, and how we can be.
When I see, firsthand, the magic, the presence, the gifts that our youth are here to activate, I have nothing but HOPE for the future.
For these incoming generations are the teachers, guides, and wise ones here to show us what’s truly possible.
To help us evolve as humanity.
I feel deeply honored that I had such an opportunity like this to explore this 17-year old’s Human Design chart with him.
All I can say is: “Yes, please!”
I welcome and invite so much more of this energy in!
Our future truly is bright … and, I am so excited for what the younger generations are bringing into this world.
