At times, I really find our culture to fascinating. And, by that, I mean we have our focus and trust inside out. We tend to put our faith into external things truly out of our control, and lost sight of the things innate to us.
Take our intuition, for instance.
We are each equipped with this internal navigation system, with our own personal GPS, yet more times than not, we defer away from our own knowing, truth, and gut instinct and rely on the devices of man-made, manufactured systems, processes, and things.
Think about it for a moment …
We have more faith and trust in things like online shopping than we do in the Universe itself. Take Amazon as an example.
We revere Amazon in a way. We place an order, know it will be delivered somehow, and then forget about it. We just know and trust that the order will show up in a matter of days, two if you have Amazon Prime.
And, if somehow that order gets delayed, no worries as we still know it will show up. We get an email, notifying us of a delay, and we continue with our day. We don’t waste energy stressing or worrying over it.
Why don’t we trust the Universe, and our own intuition, the same way?
With Amazon, we know the order is coming, and we don’t interfere. We don’t tell Amazon which route to take, or which truck to put it on. We don’t care whether it’s delivered via UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, or some other local freight company. It doesn’t matter.
When we place our “order” with the Universe, somehow we think we need to jump into the driver’s seat. We interfere, and then interfere some more.
We insist we know better than the grand Universe itself.
We plot out how the ask must arrive. We scheme, we worry, and we hold too tightly onto the reins, insisting that the package arrive exactly the way we think it should. We know the best way, right?
We don’t trust the magnificent power and magic of the Universe herself.
We live instead in a small, container version of what’s possible, and we limit our own potential.
For we can never dream it up as big as the Universe can truly deliver it.
The Universe is built upon a quantum field of infinite potential … yet, we forget that in our humanness and need for control.
We squash the Universe’s ability to surprise and delight us in that case.
Every potential is available to us. In fact, it’s already created. It’s up to us, by the power of choice and our own sovereignty, to bring that potential into manifested form. But, that means we need to trust G.U.S. first.
G.U.S. — God, Universe, Sources — is a term a dear friend of mine came up with. We have lots of conversations about how to trust GUS. For it’s only in that trust, which means full surrender of the ‘how’ that we can manifest into form the most expansive and enlightened potentials.
The Universe will never interfere with our free will. It’s not designed to. It’s only supports what we ask for, and the meaning we give to our thoughts, feelings, and expectations.
When those are out of alignment, the Universe responds based on our energetic frequency as to what we believe is possible.
So, when we tell the Universe we want something and our energetic vibration does not match that, it will offer us the ‘what’ that is connected to the actual frequency we are responding from.
“Therefore, when we think we know better than the Universe, it obliges by confirming what we believe, making sure we don’t feel like we’re crazy.
Isn’t kind of the Universe to confirm our beliefs, even if they limit us?
The crazy comes when we keep thinking doing the same thing over and over believing we will get a different result (the definition of insanity), or trying to control the ‘how’ and the route the ‘what must take.
Image if we offered a fraction of the trust we give Amazon to the Universe.
We would get super clear on what we want and make a request. Then, we would trust that our request would show up as it needs to without any effort on our part. The only thing we need to do is check the mailbox or our front door, essentially doing our part to be energetically aligned to receive it.
And, if for some reason what the Universe delivered wasn’t the right ‘fit’ or wasn’t what we thought it would be, we could simply return it for the something that aligned better or worked with our aesthetic more.
Exactly the same process we use with Amazon. We just return it, refund it, and then purchase (order) the thing we want more instead.
It’s as easy as that.
